Annette Broersma holds a Master of Science in Educational Counseling from CA Lutheran University, and a Bachelor's degree from U.C. Irvine where she played on the Women's Tennis Team. She has coached at the high school and college level. She held the position of Athletic Counselor at Moorpark Community College, where she placed thousands of transferring athletes into 4-year universities. Annette has spoken numerous times at the CA Community College (CCCCA), and High School Counselor's (CSCA) annual conferences where she trained high school counselors to assist this elite campus population: athletes.
As a member of Wilson Sporting Goods’ Speaker Bureau, Annette continues to speak to large and small groups of athletes to help them find their 'fit' in college sports and academics. She wrote their publication, the “Wilson College Placement Workbook,” which is distributed at no cost to high school athletes.
Annette is available as a private consultant to teams or organizations interested in helping their athletes understand and move through the college placement process. “I will not place a player, but I will teach them how to place themselves,” says Annette about her placement methodology. Athletes and parents must do the work themselves; “doing the placement work teaches the athlete the process for successful decision-making for the rest of their lives.” Assistance is available by contacting Annette through her website: www.AnnetteSports.com.
